The Experience & Your Investment
Learn more about the Serene Roots experience and see how The Toolbox for Inner Peace puts healing and transformation into your own hands.
What's included in a Serene Roots in-person retreat?
Every Serene Roots retreat is designed as an immersive experience that blends art, nature, and well-being in a small, supportive setting. Your retreat includes accommodation, shared meals, creative activities, access to materials, and participation in our community-centered environment. Whether you're writing by the river, creating artwork inspired by the season, or sharing stories around the table, each element is carefully selected to encourage reflection, connection, and personal exploration.
Retreat themes change throughout the year, allowing each gathering to offer something unique. While activities vary from retreat to retreat, the intention remains the same: to provide a peaceful environment where participants can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and discover practices they may wish to carry forward into daily life.

How the Toolbox Works
At the heart of Serene Roots is an evolving methodology called The Toolbox for Inner Peace. We believe that every individual finds balance, healing, and personal growth through a unique combination of experiences, environments, and practices. Rather than promoting a single approach, Serene Roots encourages exploration and self-discovery.
Throughout the retreat, participants engage in guided experiences, reflective exercises, creative activities, and nature-based moments designed to spark insight and curiosity. Guests are encouraged to document discoveries in a personal notebook and explore our "Discovery Table," where books, resources, and information about a variety of creative, nature-based, and well-being practices are available. Over time, each participant begins building their own personal toolbox—a collection of activities, rituals, and approaches that can support them long after the retreat has ended.

Weekend Retreats
Weekend retreats are intentionally kept accessible and range from 150€ to 350€ per participant, depending on the duration, accommodation arrangements, materials, and activities included. Our goal is to make the Serene Roots experience available to people from diverse backgrounds while maintaining the intimate atmosphere that defines our retreats.
Each retreat follows a carefully curated theme inspired by the seasons, nature, or meaningful moments of reflection. Activities may include meditative writing, painting, art journaling, theatre, music, botanical projects, nature walks, material gathering, and other creative explorations. Guests are always free to participate at their own pace, and dedicated free time is built into every retreat to encourage rest, personal inspiration, and independent exploration.

Additional Experiences
As Serene Roots evolves, some retreats may include optional experiences facilitated by external professionals. These may include workshops connected to creative arts therapies, nature-based practices, equine experiences, medicinal plants, or other complementary approaches aligned with the retreat theme. Participation in these optional experiences is entirely voluntary. Any fees associated with external facilitators are paid directly to the provider, ensuring transparency while supporting local professionals and businesses within the region.
Why We Keep Groups Small
Serene Roots retreats are limited to a maximum of six participants. This small-group format allows us to create an atmosphere of trust, friendship, and genuine human connection. It also ensures that every participant has the space to be seen, heard, and supported without feeling overwhelmed by larger group dynamics.
Before attending a retreat, guests are invited to participate in a one-on-one conversation to learn more about the experience and determine whether the environment is a good fit for their needs. We place great importance on maintaining a respectful and supportive atmosphere guided by our "no criticism" philosophy. Rather than focusing on evaluation, advice, or performance, we encourage exploration, curiosity, and authentic expression. What emerges during a retreat belongs to the individual who shares it, and we embrace a simple principle: what happens in the canyon stays in the canyon. This commitment to confidentiality helps create a safe space for creativity, vulnerability, and personal reflection.
